This has got to be the toughest thing to deal with when being a pet owner. How can you make the decision to say it’s time to put your dog and best friend to rest?

I am a big fan of using head collars when working with your dog(s) to walk loosely on a leash or in many other training situations. There are a number of companies who make head collars and many different styles to go with them… The two main companies who make them are Premier who makes the gentle leader and Halti. www.gentleleader.com

Well unfortunately it is the time for shedding to kick into high gear... It is important for you to continue or start in most cases weekly brushing your dog(s). If you have a very long haired dog it is even recommended to brush daily. One of the best tools for getting to that undercoat is the furminator, or a tool like this. It is a de-shedding tool and is recommended to be used once or twice a week, so not all dogs will need to use a brush like this. The less un-needed hair on your dog the less hair on your floor, and most importantly the more comfortable they will be too.

I believe in feeding healthy holistic pet foods that will give your dog(s) the best chance for a long healthy life.
