Dog of the Month

Hi Folks!

I’m Mike and I’m a Virgo. I like long walks on the beach, and any kind of dinner at all. My pet peeves are ear baths and Gentle Leaders. I’m up for anything, any time. You want to go for a ride? I’m in. A walk? Let’s go.  I’m blond, so some things are hard for me…like Frisbee: I don’t get it. I will fetch the newspaper, but I wont hand it over until I’ve read it myself.

I love to go for rides on my Grampa’s boat. I stand right up on the bow and lead the way. When he stops I jump in and swim around. The water is definitely where I like to be. If I see people fishing, I like to go right over and help. They pretend to be mad, but I know they appreciate it.

My favorite food is…food. Pretty much anything will do, although I don’t care for salad. My other Grampa puts breadcrumbs out for me under his birdfeeders. He’s so nice. He’s got woods in back of his house where I love to run. Sometimes I’ll spot a deer and give it a good chase. I haven’t caught one yet, but I’m hoping.

I’ve got a big family, and they all like me a lot. They don’t mind when I bark really loud, or get white hair all over their black clothes. My Uncle Neil likes me to come over so he can share his Graham Crackers with me. I’m pretty lucky.

The other day I was out running around and I cut my foot pretty bad. I had to have 3 stitches between my toes, and now I can’t go to Off the Leash for a week or so. I really miss all of my friends, furry and otherwise. Doggie Daycare is one of my favorite places to be, but for now I’m stuck at home with a lampshade on my head: Not a good look for me, by the way. I can’t wait to get back there to bark my head off and follow Michelle around like a shadow all day. I’ll see you guys soon!
